Enviro Trail Blitz

Location: Mt Roskill
Availability: Weekdays during school term by booking through Volunteering Auckland
Team size: 10 - 50

Description:

This low decile primary school is a vibrant place to be, with over 350 students from multi-cultural backgrounds and a dedicated staff team focussed on the children's learning and development.

The school has already developed an amazing Enviro trail which is a special place where the children can explore and play. In addition a Forest trail has recently been added to the school grounds and they also maintain a vege garden to assist with the Garden to Table food education project run at the school.

The school is looking for any size of team to come and help them ‘blitz’ their grounds and continue to make some improvements and maintain these exciting initiatives. Teams might also be helping out with other activities around the school on the day, like general maintenance where needed.

Some time might also be spent with children in the library and classrooms and sedentary activities can be provided for those with mobility issues.

This is a great volunteering day, assisting a low decile school to improve their environment for the well-being of the children.

Great team building, super well organised school meant the day went very smoothly.
The staff went to great lengths to provide morning tea and lunch and were even mindful of our dietary requirements.
A great experience at a lovely little school and our staff enjoyed making a little bit of a difference to the school.
