Description:

Kelmarna Gardens is an organic community garden and city farm dedicated to building a healthy community and environment, and promoting sustainable living. Kelmarna belongs to the community and is primarily run by volunteers, and everyone has something to contribute.

One of the pillars of our charitable organisation is education and practical skills-sharing, where our unique environment and resources on the farm are made available to your team, to give you the opportunity to get out of the office, get to know each other better, and get your hands dirty – all while achieving meaningful work and projects that contribute to our community work and farm.

We offer the option of a Full Day or Half Day team experience on the farm, which include opportunities for your team to discover more about our farm and work, engage with issues surrounding food and sustainability, and learn practical skills for food growing and sustainable living that you can take back to your office and homes.

We can arrange bookings to suit your timeframe, generally available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Sessions begin with an introduction and farm tour, followed by guided hands-on activities in which your team will work together to learn and take part in regular as well as seasonal or special project activities across a variety of our garden and farm operations.

Between tasks, enjoy morning break of tea, coffee, and herbal tea blend picked straight from the gardens, and if you’re staying for our Full Day option then also a communal lunch sourced from the garden, prepared by members of your team with our supervision, and an afternoon tea break as well.

Your team doesn’t need any garden experience to take part, nor a particular focus on sustainability – you just need a willingness to work and grow together as a team, learn new things, and strategies for regenerative systems with an open mind. You will be supported by our staff at each step of your experience, to make the most of your time on the farm and be in a position to return to the office and your mahi with a renewed perspective on sustainability.

Join us in helping bring our farm to life and work directly to connect your business, your people, and your community with essential skills and strategies for a more sustainable future.
