Warehouse Volunteers

Location: Glendowie
Availability: Weekdays
Team size: 3 - 10

This organisation offers a unique model of care, supporting people from the moment they are diagnosed with a life threatening illness through to end of life or into wellness. Care is focused on people finding a sense of holistic well-being while facing the challenges that life threatening illness brings.

The organisation runs a residential care unit for respite and end-of-life care, as well as day facilities where treatments and complimentary therapies are offered to patients.

In order to provide this high level of care, funding is needed and this is partly sourced from the six charity shops run in east and central Auckland. Corporate teams will spend the day helping in the warehouse, unloading and sorting through books, toys, clothing and bric-a-brac. This includes slightly heavier tasks of loading and unpacking items, but also lighter tasks like fine sorting and pricing of goods ready for retail.

Your team will be touched by this volunteer experience, knowing that the time spent is contributing to making a difference to the lives of those facing life-limiting conditions and ensuring they have a better quality of life.
