This organisation works with community groups to provide training and development in various areas to help them gain new skills and grow their organisation. This is with a focus on involving volunteers to enhance their organisation's reach and effectiveness, as well as general leadership and management skills training.
Areas where skills are needed include:
HR/People management - identifying roles for volunteers, recruitment, planning, how to write role descriptions and how to handle conflict
Marketing and communication - writing stories for promotional material, how to run a social media campaign and how to make a website more effective
Strategic and business planning - looking at longer term goals
Financial management - including preparing budgets, funding applications and accountability reports.
IT/Technology - advice on current IT requirements including database and volunteer management systems.
